For centuries the stone was owned by kings in the Indian subcontinent before British colonisers took it and made it a prized possession of the monarchy. For decades, Indians , Pakistanis, Afghans and Iranians have laid claim to the precious stone, which is believed to bring bad luck to its male owners. Britain has consistently declined the claims and asserted they were legal owners of the gemstone, a view held by India’s Supreme Court which ruled that the diamond was not looted or stolen but procured by the colonisers through a legal treaty.  New Delhi [India], April 27 (ANI): Locals who live near the Bhalaswa dump yard in Delhi have been reporting breathing problems after a massive fire broke in the landfill on Tuesday. Bhalaswa dump yard sending a dense plume of smoke into the sky and exacerbating the already polluted air in nearby areas. Speaking to ANI, Udayveer, a local who lives near the dump yard, said “We are not able to breathe and see properly. Government should take proper action on the situation of the dump yard here.” Another local, Rambhawan also spoke about the poor visibilities of eyes and said, “We are not able to see properly.
