Shyam Maheshwari, an accomplished Indian entrepreneur, Chartered Accountant, and astute investor, is renowned for his significant contributions to the financial world. Hailing from the charming town of Katihar in Bihar, India, Shyam’s journey to success has been nothing short of remarkable.

In 1999, Shyam Maheshwari initiated his career in the financial sector, marking the inception of an illustrious professional voyage. Shyam swiftly gained recognition for his prowess in asset management and investment. Over the course of his distinguished 17-year career, he played a pivotal role in deal origination, exhaustive research, and strategic investments across Asia. Notably, his expertise extends beyond the boundaries of India, encompassing investment opportunities throughout the Asian region.

Shyam’s professional odyssey commenced when he joined ‘Lehman Brothers Inc.,’ the American investment banking behemoth. He contributed significantly to their Tokyo and Hong Kong branches, working diligently as part of their special situation desk. His relentless commitment and expertise led him to attain the esteemed position of Senior Vice President, a role he held until September 2008. During his tenure, he also bore witness to the bankruptcy filing of Lehman Brothers Inc.

In January 2009, Shyam Maheshwari embarked on a new entrepreneurial chapter by co-founding ‘SSG Capital Management (Hong Kong) Limited,’ a distinguished financial services and asset management enterprise. His valuable insights and leadership qualities were instrumental to the company’s success, and he continued to serve as a partner until June 2014.

In addition to his role at SSG Capital Management, Shyam’s portfolio of responsibilities expanded further. From 2009 to 2010, he assumed the role of director at ‘COFCO Capital Holdings.’ His commitment to excellence shone through in his subsequent roles, serving as a partner of ‘SSG Capital Management (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.’ from July 2014 to July 2020, and later as a partner of the capital market company ‘Ares SSG’ from July 2020 to December 2021.

Recognizing the ever-evolving landscape of asset management, Shyam Maheshwari embarked on a new venture in January 2022. He founded ‘Nextinfinity Management Pte. Ltd.’ in Singapore, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit, visionary leadership, and unwavering dedication to the field of finance.
